Welcome to Red Dead Answers. What would you like to know?

No, unfortunately not. For some reason Archer doesn't even appear during Ross' raid on Marston's farm; he is not in the line-up of federal agents that execute Marston when he opens the doors. Agent Ross apparently chose to leave him behind this time for some reason, or perhaps he declined to join Ross on his cold-blooded assault. It's never explained. Besides, even if Archer did appear, he'd likely be immune to death in the same manner as Ross. Remember that John Marston's last stand is meant to be his Redemption (hence the name), not his revenge. Archer is the only antagonist of the game to walk away with his life and his freedom.
