Bonnie MacFarlane (1881 - ?) is a character in Red Dead Redemption. She is a young woman and Rancher who works at Drew MacFarlane's Ranch located in the Hennigan's Stead region of the New Austin territory.
Biography
Bonnie is an extremely capable woman of 30 years old; she is a good rider, handy with a lasso, and is not afraid to use a gun. Bonnie has blonde hair, worn back loosely, pale skin and sports a strong wit. Bonnie does not hold her tongue - she is not afraid to speak her mind or to voice her opinions.
In screenshots, Bonnie can be seen wielding the Browning Auto 5 shotgun.
Storyline
The following section contains plot spoilers for Red Dead Redemption.
Bonnie rescues John after being wounded in the initial confrontation with Bill Williamson at Fort Mercer. Bonnie attends Marston's wounds and provides lodging in return for assistance with ranch duties on the MacFarlane's Ranch. After a number of missions done for Bonnie such as herding cattle, breaking horses, and helping to free horses of the barn set on fire by rustlers, Bonnie is taken hostage by member's of Bill Williamson's gang with her life being threatened unless Marston and the Marshall release Norman Deke from being locked up. After traveling to the ghost town of Tumbleweed and attempting to hand the man over, it is soon revealed that it is an ambush. Once John kills all of the men and releases Bonnie from the noose intended to take her life she returns to MacFarlane's Ranch. Later on, John returns to Bonnie to purchase cattle. Bonnie also calls upon John later, to bring them corn to make up for pest-related loss. After he leaves for the last time, she gazes longingly after him, hinting at what may have been a possible hidden love.
